So easy to be uneasy.
Have to breathe and realize- this is as intended. Breathe. I ran 4.6 km at lunch. I am reading my books. I am meditating more.
The boys are a handful and the routine is returning. Tonight wasn't a seamless bed time. But it was on routine.
This is the best ever. Enjoy the moment and be patient. Some wheels move at slower speeds than I want, but it is as intended. Focus. Pattern. Repition for success. Plan for tomorrow and build on an increasing foundation of repitition and success. Even the smallest success.
When I was learning to Scuba, there was a skill practice that still fascinates me.
When you go into the water and put the regulator in your mouth to breathe from the tank, the common assumption is that the regulator will stay in your mouth and you will breathe unimpeded and without concern for the trip.
That is not the reality. The regulator comes out, likely when you don't expect it. So you practice taking it out, using your back up, maybe use your partners backup, maybe share their primary. That brief moment of trust when the regulator comes out, that feeling as air rushed in. To be calm -with or without air- that is my focus today.
