It is time to excel. It is time to grind. It is time to work...
The Bucket List was a great and impactful movie for me. Most memorable was the kissing of the most beautiful girl in the world.
It is all about perspective.
Love is deep and moving, and knowing your support team as we journey through life is so valuable. I did not have a new shiny shed in the back yard as a goal this summer. I didn't have a new sidewalk in the plans. I did not expect a replacement gazebo on the deck and I didn't know my lawn would be diligently mowed each Monday and the flowers tended.
Quietly, my parents and in-laws have supported my family in magical ways. It may not be much to you, a shed, a sidewalk, a gazebo, lawn care. But to me, it is the most beautiful thing in the world.
Thank you for supporting and helping me in this MBA journey,
So, pick yourself up Dieter, dust yourself off, take a deep breath. There is daylight today still, best to use it. Find a new company, a new capstone project, a new goal. Onwards, and upwards.
A decision is made by the Eagle... Or maybe the eagle just responds and acts...
But after 1.39, things change...
Instead of scanning the environment, instead of soaring, instead of riding the thermals...
The wings fold in, the head barely moves, the body shakes with momentum...
The MBA program has found its rhythm, and my choices are being more limited- studying is taking more of my time. I am learning a lot. But tonight I will spend some relationship time, because a single focus is what separates me from this Eagle- I have more responsibilities than just getting to my handler.
Focus... deliberate focus... but also balance and breaks... then focus again...
Most people drive a car.
Most people have driven on a road trip.
Some aspire to drive across the country.
A select few strive to be the fastest.
One person has done this trip with under 30 hours of driving.
But think about it- do you want to sit in a car for 30 hours? And not just sit, but with your foot pinned down and a tank of gas in the trunk? Add the preparation time, maybe add a few failed attempts, maybe add a criminal charge and a few other issues.
The MBA journey is like that for me right now. I am happy I am driving, but boy oh boy, I sure see why few do this, why few aspire, and why few accomplish.
A quick pit stop, then back to it...
